Practical guides
Compare China supplier quotes before ordering
A low headline price is only useful when you know what it includes. A remote sourcing request works better when every supplier is answering the same clear specification.

Start with one product specification
Write down the product, material, size, colour, quantity and intended use. Include reference links or photos and identify which details cannot change. Ask suppliers to state minimum order quantities, sample availability, packaging and production lead times. A local helper can ask questions and collect information, while you decide which offer suits your needs.
Compare equivalent quotes
Record currency, quantity breaks, packaging, customisation, domestic delivery and the quote's expiry. Keep the helper's fee and onward shipping separate from the goods price. If two prices differ, ask whether materials, quantities or included work differ too. Request clarification of the selling company and payment recipient rather than assuming a familiar product photo identifies the supplier.
Use samples and visits for a defined purpose
Agree which features a sample check or supplier visit should cover and what photos or notes you need. Confirm sample charges, delivery, storage and onward shipping before arranging them. Samples and visits provide observations at a particular time; they do not guarantee a later production batch. Specialist testing or certification needs a separately agreed provider and scope.
Your first-message checklist
- Reference links, specification and target quantity.
- The same questions and quote fields for each supplier.
- Sample checklist, fees and delivery instructions.
- The information you need before choosing an order.
